ReportFlounder fishing continues to be the best in years. Limit catches are being made at buoys 15, 17, 20, and 23 using worm baits and clam chum. Some of the fish are tipping the scales at over 3 pounds and an extra bonus is stripers which are taking baits intended for flounder.

ReportFlounder fishing continues to be red hot in Moriches Bay. Buoys 15 to 23 and Harts Cove have been producing limit catches of flatties up to 3 pounds. Best action is 3 hours before and after high water using sands and mussels.

ReportAs the waters warm the flounder action is really heating up. Big Dave had his limit of flounder including a couple that tipped the scales at 3 pounds fishing near Haven's Point. Good action is also being had at buoys 23, 20 and 17. Quit wishin' and go fishin'.

ReportFlounder fishing continues to be productive at buoys 30 and 14. Big Dave and crew had 15 today up to 3 pounds. Thursday Bob had a limit catch all 1.5 to 3 pounds. The key is to chum and use mussels and worms for bait.

ReportFlounder fishing continues to be productive in the buoy 30 area. Brian G went out yesterday and had 9 fish in the 2 to 3 pound range in a couple of hours. The tide was incoming, water temp. in the mid 50s and the fish were hitting mussels and sand worms.

ReportMy son and I went fishing today and managed 9 flounder in 2 hours all between 2 and 3 pounds. The action was in the vicinity of buoy 30 using worms and mussels.

ReportToday the flounder fishing improved dramatically as many anglers managed limit or near limit catches. Best area was from buoys 17 to 21 on incoming tide using sandworms and mussels. Fred Capasso and Charles Castoro managed a dozen or so up to 2 1/2 pounds.

ReportFlounder fishing got off to a very good start in Moriches Bay today as Big Bob managed to catch 9 big flatties many of which were over 2 pounds. The key this time of year is to chum with mussels and use both worms and mussels for bait. Quit wishin' and go fishin'.
