ReportFluke fishing continues to be excellent despite the fact that the majority of fish are not keepers. Fish buoys 24 and 15 3 hours before and after high water using spearing and squid or bucktails with spearing.

ReportThe best fluke fishing in years continues to provide plenty of action for anglers. Although many of the fish don't surpass the 21 inch limit some larger fish are now showing in Hart's Cove. Other areas that are producing are from buoys 14 to 24 and both east and west cuts. Use bucktails or combo baits and fish where the wind and tide give the best drift.

ReportFluke fishing continues to provide plenty of action for anglers in Moriches Bay. Best areas are from buoys 15 to 27 and both cuts. Use Squid and spearing combos or a bucktail tipped with spearing. There have been plenty of fish in the 3 to 5 pound range taken.

ReportFluke fishing is in full swing in Moriches Bay. Buoys 14 -15 are producing on the outgoing while 21 to 27 are hot on the incoming. Try squid in combo with either spearing, sand eels or Killies, or just a bucktail tipped with spearing and work the channel and sand bar edges. Fish in the 5 to 7 pound range have been taken daily.

ReportFluke fishing is now in full swing. Fish are being taken from buoys 14 to 26 on both tides with the best action 3 hours before and after high water. Big Bob had a 7.7 pound fluke from buoy 23 yesterday. The fish are hitting spearing and squid combos as well as bucktails tipped with spearing.

ReportLooks like it is going to be a good year for fluke fishing judging from the past week. Fluke are hitting spearing and squid baits in the narrows between buoy 11 and 14. The Peppels had their limit in 1 hour on saturday including fish up to 5 pounds.

ReportFluke fishing starts Saturday May 15 and all indications are for a good season as some big fluke are already hitting baits intended for flounder.
