ReportFluke fishing has settled into the typical summer pattern with lots of fish being taken throughout the bay. Best areas are from buoys 14 to 29 and best action is 3 hours either side of high water. Work the channel and sand bar edges using spearing and squid combo or bucktails tipped with bait.

ReportGood tides and great weather have combined to produce some good catches of Moriches Bay Fluke .Eric Rosenberg and Daniel Hayes combined efforts to bring home 6 keepers to 4 lbs. from the buoy 24 to buoy 28 area. Use spearing and squid and join in on the action.

ReportFluke fishing in the bay continues to improve as the waters warm with buoys 23 to 29 and 14 to 15 producing fish up to 7 pounds. Bucktails tipped with spearing and squid and spearing combo baits are the ticket and fish 3 hours before and after high tide.. Late morning high tides should account for optimum conditions this holiday weekend.

ReportFluke fishing is excellent just about anywhere in the bay. Fish up to 7 pounds are being taken from buoys 14 to 29 and into Hart's cove. Use spearing and squid or bucktails and work the channel and sandbar edges.

ReportWith the onset of warmer weather Fluke fishing is hot in Moriches Bay. This past week we saw some nice keepers including a 5 1/2 pounder by Dennis Peppel and yesterday a 7 pounder by Sal Sclafani. The bigger fish are being taken right near the coast guard station using spearing and squid or bucktails tipped with spearing and this action should even get better as the summer progresses.

ReportEarly season fluke fishing has been consistent in the area between buoys 8 and 10 using spearing and squid. As the water warms the action will move into the buoy 14 and 15 area.
