Moriches bay is alive with stripers from buoys 17 to 26 and both east and west cuts. The easiest way to cash in on the action is by floating clams and chumming with clam chum. Lures and live bait are also producing.

Bass are taking clams and soft lures from buoys 17 to 26 and in both east and west cuts. Blues are under the diving birds and anything shiny can be used to catch these cocktail sized fish.

Bass action remains steady in both east and west cuts using clams and lures. Although many of the fish are short there are enough keepers to make it interesting.

This time of year the bay is inundated with lots of schoolie bass, which provide plenty of action for anglers. Clam baits, live peanut bunker, bunker chunks and lures all work well. Fish both east and west cuts as well as the numerous tidal drains that are in this area.

Bass fishing remains excellent in both east and west cuts using clams, bunker chunks, and lures. There are a lot of schoolies but enough keepers to make it interesting, with even larger fish falling to live bait.

Schoolie bass are all over the bay with clams being the bait of choice in both east and west cuts,and buoys 26 and 18. Larger fish are taking bunker chunks, live eels, and live bunker.

Bass are still providing plenty of action in both east and west cuts as well as in Harts Cove. Outgoing tide is producing best with clams, bunker chunks, and live baits and some of the fish are in the 25 pound range.

Plenty of stripers are falling to bunker chunks and clams in both east and west cuts and at buoy 26. One of the rentals had a 40 inch bass yesterday in the west cut on clams.

Some very good bass action this past week. Today Sean kept one about 15 pounds out of the bunch that he caught in the East Cut on clams. Paul Seminuk had a 21 and 30 pounder during the week using bunker chunks. Plenty of schoolies hitting soft lures all over the bay.
