Schoolie bass are taking clams and plugs in both east and west cuts and at the coast guard station. Larger fish, including a 41 pounder, caught by Doug, are hitting live baits.

Bass have been cooperative of late with schollie size fish 24 to 34 inches taking clams in the east and west cuts as well as from buoys 18 to 26. Bigger fish are taking live bait near the inlet.

Bass are all over the place with best catches from buoys 18 to 26 and both east and west cuts. Clams are producing the most with live bait producing the biggest.

Bass are taking clams, plugs, and rubber shad from the inlet to both east and west cuts.

Bass season opened yesterday . Nobody went out but there are plenty of bunker in the east end of the bay, which is a good sign.
